Hembury Books is an Australian hybrid publisher based in Sydney. We strive to delight authors of all genres. Our authors retain all their royalties and maintain creative control.

Hembury Books was founded in 2023 by former BBC and Forbes journalist Jessica Mudditt, who is also the author of two self-published books, Our Home in Myanmar and Once Around the Sun.

Getting a traditional publishing deal nowadays is very difficult and learning how to self-publish can be lonely and overwhelming. We aim to provide the best of both worlds: a team of publishing professionals to help create a beautiful, high-quality book, but without the author giving up creative control or becoming very stressed by the process.
