Deborah C.M. Stamp
Deborah C.M. Stamp has been writing since the age of seven. She formalised her passion for literature by reading English at the University of York in Scarborough, where she wrote her dissertation on the collected works of Elizabeth Gaskill, graduating with upper second-class honours. Her other creative influences include Philip Pullman, Agatha Christie and C.S. Lewis.
Particularly interested in fantasy, thriller and gothic fiction, it’s unsurprising that Deborah’s anthology of collected works emulates the style of her favourite authors. Ranging from opinion pieces to short stories and essays all the way to a full length novel, The Feline Logic captures her imaginative, insightful writing career.
As the book title suggests, Deborah is an animal lover with a special affinity for cats. For years, Deborah volunteered with The Cats Protection Society, leading the fundraising for her local branch. At a single local event, she once raised more than £1000.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in her early 20s, Deborah has spent half of her life advocating for various health conditions by both writing in the media and directly communicating with the health system.
Deborah lives on the Northumbrian coast in the UK where she is occasionally persuaded to have a chocolate or slice of cake – only at others’ insistence.

A Feline Logic
by Deborah C.M. Stamp
From the curious world of Wonderland to the magical realm of Narnia, Deborah C.M. Stamp invites you to join her on the journey of her life.
These collected works – spanning articles, short stories, opinion pieces and a full length novel – encapsulate the inner workings of a mind that is intuitive, dissecting, imaginative and insightful. With a nod to the detective sensibilities of Agatha Christie, Deborah moves fluidly between the analytical, the creative and the personal in prose which is at once necessarily flexible and anchored in a sharp observational eye.
With a grace learned from her favourite feline creatures, Deborah’s work draws a map of human connections and explores the ways we try to fill the gaps that inevitably arise between us.
A work of intelligence, investigation and care, A Feline Logic is above all an invitation to look inside oneself and find comfort in what is found there; to make peace with the life before you and to embrace the person you have become along the way.
