Shoshanna McNerney grew up in Perth and now lives by the ocean in Scarborough with her husband, their seven-year-old daughter and two dogs – Gus, the gentle giant, and Charlie, the chocolate labrador who insists on being her writing muse.
A lawyer by profession, Shoshanna has worked across many areas of law including corporate law, family law and parliamentary law for 18 years where she has been able to help people from all walks of life.
Storytelling has always been Shoshanna’s escape. She builds worlds where readers can disappear, believing that books should offer both entertainment and a doorway out of the everyday. Her interest in psychology, combined with years of observing human behaviour through the lens of the law, naturally drew her toward psychological thrillers – stories that explore the darker corners of the mind and the secrets people hide.
When she’s not writing or working, you’ll find her running along the coast, hiking WA’s trails, travelling the world or taking long beachside walks with her family. The ocean is her reset button and often the birthplace of her best ideas.
